Best Printable Grocery Stores Coupons

Coupons.com
Coupons.com is the best and first place you should start searching for grocery coupons. Tons of coupons updated constantly that can be used at any grocery store or drugstore. I have used these coupons at Shop Rite, Walmart, Pathmark, CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens. Not a problem at any. They are usually small amounts of savings but with enough coupons they can add up. Be sure to check expiration date and also whether or not the coupon can be doubled. 99% of the time there is always a "No Doubling" rule.
You will have to download their coupon printer. You can also create and account. With an account you can add your loyalty grocery store club cards and add certain coupons straight to the card so there is no need to print and waste paper. You can also check out local coupons for restaurants and other retail stores exclusively in your area. They also list coupon codes so you can save when shopping online.
Smart Source
Smart Source is the self-described number #1 source for printable grocery coupons. You can follow them both on Twitter and Facebook which is good since you will see their feeds alerting you to new coupons. There are also lots of other coupons besides groceries like for photo printing, flower delivery, etc. But their main attraction is the grocery coupons.
You will have to download their coupon printer but its not such a bad trade off compared to the savings. The coupons are listed according to the zip code of where you live (or where you mostly shop) but the coupons can be used at almost all grocery stores and I have not had one give me a problem accepting the coupons yet.
Red Plum
Red Plum has the least amount of grocery coupons in comparison to Coupons.com and Smart Source but there are some hidden gems here every once in awhile. They do not have that many coupons but the ones they do have are pretty good. They divide them up between grocery coupons, drug store coupons, restaurant coupons, services and local offers, and coupon codes for online shopping. Again its all based on your zip code and you can choose how far of a range you want them to search (25 miles, 50 miles, etc)
Sunday papers
This is an option for those that have subscriptions, typically buy Sunday newspapers or have ways of getting them from other people. It is not ideal since you have to wake up early, get a subscription or (like on the show Extreme Couponing) go to the recycle bins and wade through garbage.
But the Sunday papers can have AMAZING coupons. It depends on the week, but sometimes you can get really great coupons.
The best newspapers that I can recommend for cutting coupons are the Daily News, and New York Post. I am not sure if you can get these everywhere in the country.
Obviously wherever you live just buy the Sunday edition of the 2 most popular newpapers in that area. If you do not already get a subscription, then wake up early and grab one at your nearest newsstand (they can run out fast).
Another option is to ask friends and family that you know get subscriptions if you can have their copies. They may not want to use the coupons.
Or you can also head to local cafes, coffee houses or Starbucks and grab newspapers left there by other customers. The places usually do not mind.
Other options
There are a few other options you can do when searching for grocery store coupons.
If you have a favorite brand that you always like to buy then check out their web page. They might have coupons on there that you can print.
From there you can check out if the brand has a Facebook and/or Twitter. Usually by "liking" them on Facebook or "following" them on Twitter they will reward you with a coupon.
Best practice tips
Use an old empty photo album to keep all your coupons organized. You can organize them by expiration date. What I do is use post-its that I attached to the last page and write down the month. In all those pages are the coupons that are to expire that month.
Some people like to keep it organized by category and within the category by expiration date. This might be something you will need to do once you start to amass a lot of coupons. But the above method has worked for me so far.
Keep checking your book often and so you know what coupons you have and at least once or twice a week (more if you can) find new coupons to add.
At the beginning of every week make sure to pick up the weekly circular for all your favorite stores. Check to see what they have on sale and see if you have a coupon for it. For example, my local Rite Aid has Finesse products Buy 1 Get 1 Free this week. I have a $1 off Finesse product coupon. So on top of saving $1 off the product thanks to the coupon, I also have Rite Aid's weekly special of buy 1 get 1 so now I get two products and save $1 off the price!
